1.

What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions accentuate the beauty of your eyes by lengthening and thickening your own lashes.  Unlike the do-it-yourself strip lashes and eyelash bundles, Xtreme Lashes® Eyelash Extensions are adhered to a single eyelash so the extension does not touch the eyelid. This allows the natural lash to continue it's natural growth cycle and preserves the health and quality of the natural lash.

2.

How will eyelash extensions look and feel?

When eyelash extensions are properly applied by a well-trained, experienced professional, they will look completely natural and are virtually weightless.   The extensions do not touch the eyelid and most clients are surprised at the end of the application that they can not feel them at all.  If fact, most people will not be able to tell that they are not your own lashes!

3.

How long will they last?

An individual eyelash extension will last the full growth cycle of your natural lash.  In other words, when a natural eyelash has completed its growth cycle and falls out, the extension adhered to it is lost and a new natural lash will grow in.  Due to this cycle of growth, eyelash extension touch ups or refills are necessary every 3 to 5 weeks, depending upon your individual rate of growth and care of your extensions.

4.

What if I don't want to keep up the refills.  Can I get the extensions for a special occasion?

Xtreme Lashes® eyelash extensions are perfect for weddings, proms, and other special occasions when you just want to make a beautiful impression.  In fact, you can get the eyelash extensions for your vacation and look beautiful day in and day out as you swim, sun and visit the spa.

5.

How are eyelash extensions applied... does it hurt?

This delicate treatment is very comfortable, your eyes are closed and you can listen to relaxing music.  Many clients drift off to sleep during the procedure.  The initial application takes approximately 2 hours.

6.

Will having eyelash extensions keep me from doing the activities that I love, such as swimming, exercising or having facials?

It is very important to closely follow the after care instructions immediately following your eyelash extension application.  After the first 48 hours, you will be able to shower, swim or exercise worry-free.

1.

I've heard that having permanent makeup hurts.  Is it painful?

With the use of high quality equipment like the Nouveau Contour Digital machines and custom formultated anesthetics, the discomfort is minimal.  Generally, eyebrows are most comfortable (some clients actually fall asleep) eyeliner is a little more sensitive and the lips are most sensitive.  Most clients, however, are pleasantly surprised by the level of comfort during the procedure and afterward.

2.

May I resume my normal activities immediately after having permanent makeup done?

Yes and no.  Specific do's and don't's will be discussed at your consultation.  Immediately after application, the permanent makeup is very vivid in color and may apprear larger due to some swelling.  Any swelling usually subsides after a day and the color will soften in 3 to 5 days.  After having permanent makeup, it is important to protect the color by wearing sun protection.

3.

Is permanent makeup really permanent?

Yes and no.  It is permanent in that you will have color in the skin for many years to come.  However, it is important to understand that many things can affect that color over time.  Sun exposure and chemical changes within the body can cause colors to fade and change shade somewhat.  A color adjustment can be done in a few years to bring back the original color if necessary.  Permanent makeup touch ups are usually done at a fraction of the cost of the original treatment.

4.

Are there certain medical conditions or medications that would prohibit me from having permanent makeup?

Yes.  Your medical history and medications will be reviewed at the consultation.  Some conditions/medications could prohibit the procedure, others may simply require the written consent of you doctor.

What is Collagen Induction Therapy?

Collagen Induction Therapy, also called dermal rolling, skin needling or micro-needling, is an exciting new ALL NATURAL treatment, which has been shown to:

* Smooth Wrinkles & fill Lines

* Remove Sun/Age Spots

* Improve Skin Texture

* Relax Scars

* Improve Depressed Acne Scarring

* Fill old Surgical Scars

* Improve the appearance of Stretch Marks

2.

How is the procedure done?

Anesthetic cream is required during the procedure, however there is usually no discomfort or side effects after the procedure. A sterile roller with micro-needles is gently passed over the area to create channels into the deeper layer of the skin.  This creates minute injury to the dermis, which results in the stimulation of the body's own production of collagen.  The procedure takes up to an hour, depending on the area to be treated.  Results can take from three to nine months to fully appear as the body takes time to generate new collagen.

3.

What should I expect immediately after the treatment?

In contrast, to conventional treatments like laser resurfacing or chemical peels, Collagen Induction Therapy is non-ablative and achieves results without burning or removing the superficial epidermis. There is very little down time or discomfort. Immediately after the procedure the treated area may appear pink to red and slightly swollen like a mild sunburn for 12 to 24 hours. The following day you may apply makeup if desired and the skin will have a healthy, rosy glow. After a day or two the skin returns to its normal look but over the next few weeks to months collagen is created as the microscopic wounds heal, causing the skin to increase in thickness and firmness.

4.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

A series of 5 to 6 treatments are recommended with the best results achieved 9 months to one year later. Treatment effects are cumulative and a softening of fine lines and wrinkles will usually be seen within 6-8 weeks of each treatment. Treatments can be done on a monthly basis as it takes time for your skin to generate collagen. The daily use of a high quality vitamin C and a retinol product is recommended to further enhance the collagen production.

5.

What are the advantages of Collagen Induction Therapy?

  • Minimal discomfort with the use of proper anesthetics

  • Completely natural no fillers or foreign substances—your skin creates its own collagen

  • Unlike laser treatments and chemical peels there is a very short healing period because the epidermis is left intact

  • Cost effective

  • No risk of permanent damage to skin such as hyper/hypo-pigmentation

  • Can be used on any part of the body, including the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, abdomen and thighs
